Dr. Christiaan Alting von Geusau
Dr. Christiaan Alting von Geusau was born in 1971 in the United States and grew up in The Netherlands, where he studied law at Leiden University. He continued his legal studies at Heidelberg University and obtained his doctorate in phislophy of law at the University of Vienna. Von Geusau first practiced law in Amsterdam and Brussels. He now leads the International Catholic Legislators Network (ICLN) to provide Christian politicians with faith formation, educational programs and networking opportunities. As principal of Ambrose Advice e.U., he provides strategic advisory and leadership coaching to senior politicians, executives and NGO’s around the world. Dr. von Geusau is Rector emeritus and Professor for Philosophy of Law and Education at ITI Catholic University in Austria and honorary Professor of Law at the Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola in Peru. Manuel Maan Baghdi
Manuel Maan Baghdi was born in Syria in 1961 and belongs to the Armenian Catholic community and faith. He studied and worked in Damascus before emigrating to Austria at the end of 1989, where he lives and works. He is married and the father of four children. Manuel currently serves as the representative of His Eminence Dr. Christoph Cardinal Schönborn for refugee and Middle East issues and Interreligious dialogue. Manuel is the chairman of the Christian association “Movement Fellow Human Being” that supports refugees in Austria can with legal and social help. Over the years, he has become more actively involved with the ICLN, first as an expert speaker and was subsequently appointed Vice President in 2020, being responsible for contacts with church leaders. He also participates in various missionary organizations as an expert in religions and Middle Eastern history. Manuel’s wisdom in life is “what gain, then, is it for a man to have won the whole world and to have lost or ruined his very self.”
Dr. Wolfgang Kropf
Dr. Wolfgang Kropf was born 1970 in Vienna, Austria and grew up in Germany and Austria. He studied Law at the University of Vienna and International Business Law at the University of St. Gallen. In 2001 he flounded his law firm in Vienna, specialising in real estate, commercial law, litigation and inheritance. He has been advising national and international private, corporate and institutional clients for many years. Wolfgang was involved from the beginning establishing the legal structure of the ICLN and served as its General Counsel from the beginning. Over the years, he became more operationally involved and was appointed Vice President in 2020, being responsible for organisational tasks and planning, security, logistics and external relations. Still active in the Reserve Corps of the Austrian Armed Forces, he is legal advisor to the General Staff/Supreme Command and teaches legal English at the Logistics Academy of the Armed Forces. He lives in Vienna, also serves in his local Parish as Counsellor and is married with 4 children.
